Silo Bolts

Four Nib, Double Nib and Single Nib Bolts are are available to be manufactured with cup heads countersunk heads or any other head configuration within our range.

Silo Bolts Materials & Finishes

Cup Nibbed bolts are available in standard Mild Steels or Carbon Steels with Boron suitably heat treated for higher tensile requirements. Various finishes can be added from the standard self colour, examples being zinc plate with colour passivations, galvanised, etc.

Applications

The "Silo Bolt" Four Nib type being more often used in the assembly of Grain or other produce storage tanks, hence the apt name. Double nib and Single nib bolts are used by the sheet metal and woodworking industries.

Design Specifications

Silo Bolts are supplied in the high tensile condition either self colour or galvanised. They can also be supplied with the head fully encapsulated in plastic. Different colours of plastic are used to differentiate between different lengths of bolt. Thread sizes are generally 1/2 UNC or M12.

Stock Sizes

Popular sizes of Silo Bolts with are usually available Ex Stock however please check on availability prior to ordering. In the case of Double Nibbed and Single Nibbed Bolts due to the extremely large number of combinations of head styles, thread lengths and thread types we do not normally hold a stock range. Stocks are however held for supply to customers schedule requirements. Sizes range from M4 to M16 and the Imperial equivalents.

Packing

Silo bolts are generally packed into polypropylene bags but can boxed as required please specify at the time of enquiry.
