Blakeacre was owned by Clevedon Fasteners. Following the successful buyout of Clevedon from its previous major shareholder, Langham Industries, it was decided to only have two trading divisions. For this reason the Blakeacre name has been dropped in preference to Clevtec and so the company which was previously known as Blakeacre Ltd is now trading as Clevtec. Manufacturing is still being carried out at Austin Way for the former Blakeacre product. it is simply the trading name that has changed
